PK. Sherpa (PART 5)
PK. Sherpa (PART 5)
............CONTINUED
Feeling very weak, extremely weak and dizzy I dragged myself inside the Tent. Once I am inside the Tent, I closed its window with my remaining strength and lay down with the oxygen on full pressure (Pressure, 4). In a matter of minutes, I fell asleep. Indeed, the climbing was really tiring and plus we had no sleep for long time. We had climbed the whole night. Even before starting to climbing up in the night of May 19th, I had gone without a sleep for about two nights or so. No matter how much I tried sleeping, I could not fall asleep. Perhaps it may have been because of the high altitude and also excitement of climbing the Everest with Master for the first time. Although I had been to South Cole a couple of times before, I had not had the opportunity of climbing up the Everest till this time. I think I was waiting for Master unconsciously to accompany me to the Everest.
(I dreamt that Master was in Nirvana and I too was following him. He says, “you know life is too short on earth.” I nodded. He continues, “ Life is too difficult to live.” I nodded again. He continues, “Life is neither about happiness nor is about sorrow, though. But life is about just life.” Master persists, “Life can be considered to be a dot. This dot has traveled down to the earth and resting for now - and a moment later it will rise up itself and continues its journey to the unknown.” Unfortunately, I do not know what the other issues in the dream was about bestowed upon me during my sleep. I have no idea. I feel quite blameworthy for not being able to catch the rest of the issues in my dream.
I woke up to find the Master just entering the TENT. I apologized for being inside the Tent and master says nothing. He was in meditative stage (TAPASYA MOOD), and he says really nothing. I checked my watch and realized that it was about 4:00 pm. It means I rested about 7 hours inside the Tent. I survived only because it was daytime, but if it was the nighttime I would have been dead, for the nighttime is really freezing cold.
Even during the daytime, if you had a couple of drops of water on your palms it would become ice in a matter of minutes.
Now the moment of bitter truth:
Now Master says, “C.M. sir please go down now, it is dangerous to be on the TOP for such a long. Thank God we are both alive.” With these words, Master started packing my bag himself for me. He inserted pure unused oxygen saying that I may need it on my way down. At this moment too, I felt his unforgettable, incomparable kindness and love. I felt as if I was a very little kid taking care of by his kindest mother. I could not hold my tear.
